I had been approached by couples saying they would like to get marry here in Australia i.e get their certificate and while go back to China or other countries and marry again to get another certificate. Wrong wrong wrong! This is an illegal practice. You can’t get married in every country you go to. You can only legally get married in one country and if you need to show another government that you are married, you need to go to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Chinese Consulate General Office to get your marriage certificate certified.
